Have you viewed the video clip of our Thames departure yet? If not, scroll down to the first May entry and take a look. Don't forget your hankie!

The little part of East Anglia that we now call home

Some very good friends of old (as opposed to old friends) arrived on Tuesday in their sailing yacht Nutshell, stopping over on their way from Ipswich to Wells (North Norfolk).
We thought we'd left London behind... only to find THIS on our doorstep this morning! Port looked out of the cockpit with surprise and said 'Bus waiting for me!' - and promptly invited himself in for a tour. It belongs to Gary and Carol from Essex and is fitted out beautifully for camping. Now there's an idea.....
Peter's boat 'Nutshell' arriving in Beccles (with No.1 on board and Port and Starboard waving from the bank)
Nutshell arrives at the Waveney River Centre. We were treated to a sumptious breakfast on board yesterday - what a luxury!
A typical view over the marshes towards Somerleyton from one of our local walks. Magic is in seventh heaven and even manages to cast off his guide dog inhibitions and chase the occasional rabbit.... (shhh).
Our regular short circular walk past the bluebell woods.
Worm's eye view over the dandelion heads
Port running through puddles alongside the marsh 'The Wild Wood'
A very local family of Alpacas
A visit to see Mummy's old pet donkey Oscar in the Northern Broads ... and Port gets a ride in the biggest tractor he's ever seen!
